Prompt 1: When Lisa Rogers tells Illya to report to Harry Beldon, she says, “You'll have to expect him to be somewhat, uh—.” Illya replies, “I've worked with Harry Beldon. I know what to expect.” So the question arises…What are Illya’s previous experiences working with Beldon?

I'm a couple of days late with this, and I'm not sure I've really hit the prompt. However, I did promise I'd have something this time after I missed the last one.

Prompt - The discovery that Paul Westcott is an UNCLE agent and not a Thrush bigwig doesn’t improve Napoleon's opinion of him. “To put it bluntly, I wish you would stop acting obnoxious,” Napoleon tells him. Paul replies, “Stop? Well, Solo, I could no more stop breathing.” So the questions arise…What if Napoleon and Illya are assigned to work with Paul again? What is Paul like as an agent when he’s not undercover? Will Napoleon find him just as obnoxious? Will Paul still be as critical of their methods?

Episode: The Mad, Mad Tea Party Affair

Prompt 1: As they discuss giving Kay Lorrison the Jekyll-Hyde routine, Illya says to Napoleon, “You haven’t played the villain for a long time.” So the questions arise…When was the last time Napoleon played the villain? Why has it been so long? Is it really that Illya is so much better at it? Did it not go so well the last time Napoleon took the role of the heavy?

I'm late to my own party.

The door opens beneath his hand and he breathes a sigh of relief. For a moment there, he had been afraid that Napoleon had locked him out of the hotel room. Worse, for once, he isn't completely sure he would have blamed him.

At first sight there's no sign of Napoleon in the room, and he feels his shoulder tense as he adjusts his grip on the wine bottle uncomfortably. Napoleon had said he was heading back to the hotel room, after he'd turned Pauline down. If he has left after that...well, Illya is inclined to think that his partner is avoiding him, and he is ashamed of the suspicion that invokes.

Challenge # 1:

In season one’s “The Girls of Nazarone Affair,” Napoleon and Illya give the Innocent, Lavinia Brown, $25,000 to “throw around” to attract the attention of Dr. Egret aka Madame Striegau.  In today’s dollars, that is the equivalent of $189, 977! They also made it clear that the money and whatever she bought with it was hers to keep.  It seemed like money was no object when it came to completing their mission.

Do you think when they submitted their mission report, Mr. Waverly just signed off on it as “business as usual” or did they have some ‘splaining (explaining) to do?  Do you think all of the Section II agents had access to that kind of cash or were they able to get it because Napoleon is CEA and half of UNCLE’s top team? The challenge is to write a story that addresses the use of expense accounts.

“White lies”~ Great Episode Challenge,”

Word Count: Approximately 2100

Solo and Kuryakin’s most recent mission dubbed, ‘The Girls of Nazarone Affair,’ had been deemed a success, though not completely. THRUSH had again been thwarted, but as far as the Accounting Section was concerned, the top team of U.N.C.L.E. agents had failed miserably.

“$25,000!” Edgar Rice, the head of accounting barked at his assistant.

Challenge # 2:
In season three’s “The Jingle Bells Affair,” there wasn’t a lot of the silliness that marked what many see as MFU’s worst season.  What is there is a nod to the holidays in New York City; the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy’s Department Store, and the Salvation Army. We even had the Khrushchev – like Georgi Koz dressed up like Santa Claus and bringing cheer and hope to a small boy who, oddly, had a mother, but seemed to live in the Salvation Army’s orphanage.

The challenge here is to take any or all of the characters in this episode and write a Christmas story.

By all means, if you have already written a story that addresses either challenge, please repost it!

As with any Challenge, there are rules.  Here's the rules for this one:
