This is a lovely conclusion to a great story! I adore Illya's complete confidence in Napoleon. Ugh, Winstrate, what a creep, framing Jim and acting so outraged when he was the murderer himself.
I wondered what you were going to do with Napoleon and Illya's look-alikes. It's good to see that Kid really did survive ... and that he and Lionheart are separate people. LOL. I wasn't sure if you'd take some weird time-travel route and have Napoleon and Illya discover that those other people were really them sometime in the past during another time-travel experience and they didn't remember.
Discovering the plaque in the present-day wasn't a big surprise, but the horses and boa were. Interesting how they seemed to have transcended time. Sad to think that Jim and company are dead since their time was so long ago, but on the other hand, I love that they appeared again at the end, as if time is a doorway and they're all still alive if you just pass through it.
