I agree some of the lj tos sounds unnerving, but at least many of them are spelled out. The dw tos merely says I agree to be governed by the laws of Maryland and the federal laws of the US, and under the jurisdiction of the courts of Baltimore City.

Now I have no idea what any of those laws say and how they could affect me. For all I know there are provisions in there that I would find just as bad as the Russian laws that have been posted on lj.

Whether I use lj or dw I am placing myself under a foreign jurisdiction.
