To be fair, all you'd have to do is go look up those laws and you'd know. It'd be tedious, of course - and who of us will bother? - but the laws are public knowledge.

The U.S. certainly has its flaws (more so of late) but we are still a pretty good place to live and to express "content" that some find objectionable.
