I've been looking at the post-war history of Berlin, and suspect that going there from the relative safety of London (let alone New York) must have been a big mistake. The Russians shot down several planes that deviated fractionally (if that was even true) from the air corridor. It's amazing that war with the US was avoided.
What would IK have been involved with...? I shall work on it, mentally, while I'm away in Scandinavia next week.
