Mail Call for Real Mail

We've talked about it in some comments on Roll Call, and so here we go with another way to stay in touch.

If you'd like to be added to a mailing list, a way for us to send real mail and hopefully a bit of cheer, just pm me and I'll put the list together and distribute to those who are interested.

Personally, I like to get cards and letter the old fashioned way. There's something about gathering meaningful mail and sitting down to read greetings and news in someone's handwriting.  Sort of like reading a real book and not just what fits on the kindle screen.

So, we can beat the blues down a little and share some cheery notes to one another. PM me and let's get something good in the mail.

I open the envelopes of any mail I receive outside, sanitize my hands to pull out the inside and immediately dispose of the envelopes. (My recycling bin and a thing of hand sanitizer are in my garage.) For the cards I have been mailing, I buy packaged cards, wash my hands carefully before writing, and use my dampened thumb to seal them. So there may be germs on the outside (but there always have been), but the inside is as safe as I can make it! :-)

I spray boxes and open them on the porch, leave the boxes there and throw them away after they've been exposed to the elements a while. Mainly I just don't want to walk back down and up again my 14 steps to the street. I admit it, I'm lazy.
