I grew up eating pork butt, cabbage and potatoes. And her recollections about the flavor are mine. (actually made it last week for the first time in many years, and it didn't disappoint)

I also used to have 3 chihuahua's, so I guess there's a fair amount of me in this story. More than I realized...hmmm.

Thanks so much for the St. Patrick's Day wishes and the same to you even if you don't celebrate it. The day to me is about celebrating one's heritage and the barriers that had to be overcome.
