Since I was in grade school and through college I participated in the competitive sport of 'fencing'....though sadly I had to stop after an injury and later on it was just too expensive a sport to take up again. (though now I'd give my eyeteeth to do it again....sigh)

So this little fic is my foray into the world of fencing with the MFU. In canon, their bios list fencing as a skill and in one episode we did see Napoleon briefly take up the foil. So it made sense for me to write this fic.

So to summarize, this story entails a visit to headquarters by a famous fencing master...who is based on the great Maestro Georgio Santelli, whose 'salle' was located in NYC.  My fencing teacher was the late Maestro Toni Orsi...one of his students did make it to the Olympics.

So 'c'est ici' : "La Belle" (la belle is a term used in fencing and is referred to as 'the beautiful one" the point in scoring that breaks a tie and wins the match)
