Yes, I've been to Pleasant Hill. It is very memorable, very poignant. Berea College is there, and has an amazing story. It is the first interracial college in the south. No one pays, every student goes on scholarship and works on campus to help pay their way. It was also one of the first colleges to accept women. Art, music, crafts and more, of course. The entire town is art-centric.
