Breaking the Fourth Wall, a literary device with origins in the theater, in which the character references that he is controlled by another; in our case, a writer. Here's how wikipedia puts it:
The method of breaking the fourth wall in literature is typically referred to as metafiction. Metafiction genre occurs when a character within a literary work acknowledges the reality that they are in fact a fictitious being.

I haven't put out the calendar yet, there's still hope for that one. I think I was supposed to put up a Song Story prompt last week, and I know I completely missed doing a Whatever Else Should Happen On A Thursday last month.

What if we explore the Muse topic a bit more, sort of Fourth Wall meets What If? and Once Upon A Time, all rolled together into a fairy tale in which the muse is found and put back to work.
I don't even know what to call it, but it might be fun. I've even added the tag: the muse.
Here's a little encouragement from King David and Cowboy Bob...

Or, there's always Farmer Cat after he's glutted himself on pork rinds...
I'd say no particular rules on this one, drabble, story, poem... let's all just Be the Muse...

Taking my cue from glennagirl and jantojones who encouraged me to join in...

“Excuuuuuse me?” Napoleon moaned as he rolled away from his latest lovely paramour.

“Did I say something wrong?” The poor girl felt blindsided.

“No no, not you...it’s them,” he whispered.

“Them who?” She raised her voice. “Wait you’re not one of those pervs who lets people watch while you have sex?”

“Shush! Keep your voice down. It’s not like that, it’s...hard to explain.”

“Explain this!”

“SLAP!”

She slipped from the bed, quickly dressing herself before she stormed out the door.

Solo looked upwards, exasperated.

“Can’t you give a guy a bit of privacy once in a while?”
