If you're someone who was accustomed to post at Live Journal you can now get back to it on Section VII. Our doors are open on LJ once more, and we're encouraging folks to post and read on that site if you've done so previously.
It's good to have everyone in the same spot, but your participation here is also a welcome part of the Section VII community at large.
Thanks for staying with us as we've journeyed the past year.

Section VII on Live Journal is open again, so please consider using that site as the primary connection to the community. This one will remain open, but we're concentrating on LJ for the sake of its more community minded environment.
Thanks for hanging in while we've been on our LJ hiatus, it's really appreciated that you've kept this site open and active.

There's been a little chaos on the LJ site, but Section VII is still alive and s till Gen and still not going to run away because some little pest hacked a little bit of territory. I don't know who or why, although I have my suspicions. In the meantime, we do have the comm still running and we have DW.
Let's get back to writing, I think it's safe here.

It's time again for WRITER'S AND READER'S CHOICE!

Attention writers and readers!

It's time to post links to your MFU stories here in Section VII written by you.
Or you can post links to stories written by your favorite authors!

Given the new Terms of Service here on Live Journal we 'suggest'
going forward, that you post all stories using links only to
outside sites that host fanfiction.

Lots of MFU tales are out there, but they've been lost in the cyber world,
time to find them and bring them back into the now.

Remember:
section7mfu is a Gen site, though you can post gen-mature stories here as well.
(stories can contain some mild violence or mild het, but nothing graphic or explicit please!)

If you want to rec a Het, AU, long term Romance or more graphically violent story,
post your links under WRITER'S AND READER'S CHOICE! in mfu_map_room.

Any other genre should be rec'd, with links posted under WRITER'S AND READER'S CHOICE in uncle_du_jour

"Someone to watch over me"~for Wednesday is all about April

April Dancer and Mark Slate sat, curled up in a lonely cabin in the Blue Ridge mountains, cut off there with no means of escape. They couldn’t go down the mountain as no doubt, traps had been set for them. Their only choice had been to continue going up.

As luck would have, they stumbled upon this old hunting cabin but from the looks of it….the holes in the roof and the cobwebs that hung everywhere, it hadn't been used in quite some time and was seemingly abandoned, but still it was cover as it was getting dark and a few snowflakes were beginning to fall.

Their communicators weren’t working, perhaps something to do with the mountains blocking the signal or who knew, maybe they were being jammed by T.H.R.U.S.H.

The agents had gotten off an S.O.S. before they moved up the treeline to the higher elevations but then lost the signal.

They were on their own and they knew it; and it was only a matter of time until their pursors found them.

PicFic Tuesday Challenge Prompt for May 27th 2014

As you may or may not know Glennagirl took a poll discussing the various challenges here on Section VII in an effort to update and freshen things up a bit. Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll! Your input was invaluable! You can view the results of the Poll HERE

There was an overwhelming concensus that 'time' was the major contributing factor in people's ability to contribute and/or read and/or comment on the writing challenges here.

So PicFic is now being extended to a week turn around to post your MFU stories; giving you more writing and reading time! Yay!

Postings are due at the latest by midnight on Tuesday May 27th. The usual requirements apply: minimum 500 words, with no set maximum. (no drabbles...as those are for A Little Drabble Do Ya- Wednesday, making it's return!) Subject matter should fit into the General concepts of this community, i.e. contain nothing explicit and reflect the 1960s series in style and content. However, there is a Gen-Mature tag option - use this to indicate a story that contains scenes of violence, torture, angst or very mild het. (again nothing graphic or explicit) Please remember to use the tag "Picfic" as well.

Include in your Subject Header the phrase: "For the Picfic Tuesday Challenge", the due date, and of course the title of your story! If you can't make the postiing deadline, then publish your picfic the following Tuesday, as that's the day readers look for the stories!!

HERE'S THIS WEEK'S PROMPT! Hoping to see you all jumping in on this one, since you now have more than a week to write your story! You can do it. Minimum 500 words isn't a lot?

"Spring Rain"

Spring rain:

telling stories,
a staw coat,
an umbrella walks past.

Inspired by a haiku by: Yosa Buson (1716-1783)

Napoleon sat on the park bench even though it was raining. He wore a trench coat not caring that it wasn’t enough; he stayed, watching the umbrellas walk past.

His face turned upwards, letting the water trickle down on him, It reminded him to stop, to remember the simple things in life... a rainstorm, a rainbow after it perhaps….a life he was lucky and grateful to still have.

Illya lying unconscious in medical in an induced coma while he healed was a stark reminder of that.

They would both be here yet, living another day to tell their tales.
