THE RETURN OF THE PICFIC CHALLENGE!

For those of you not familiar with PicFic, it's a weekly challenge to write a MFU story based upon or incorporating a photo prompt.

The first PicFic prompt of 2021 will post on February 9th

Here are the general rules of the challenge:

Your story is Due: to be determined, it may be 24 hours, 1 week, or anytime after the prompt is posted on a Tuesday.

Statistical stuff: Minimum 500 words, no maximum.

Subject Matter: Write a MFU story using the photo prompt. Your fic. can be specifically about the prompt, featured or just mentioned in your story. It's meant to inspire

Posting here should fit into the GENeral concepts of the section7mfu community, contain nothing explicit and reflects the 1960's series in style and content, and featuring our brave men from U.N.C.L.E. (of course) It's okay to use characters from the Girl from U.N.C.L.E. as well as original characters, but Napoleon and/or Illya must be part of your story!

Remember, Section VII is a GEN community.

That being said, there is a GEN-mature tag option for stories that contain more violence, torture, angst or very mild het. So if your story falls under one of these categories, please use the gen-mature tag.

All other genres post in uncle_du_jour

Subject Header: Please include in the Subject Header: your Title, the phrase:'For Picfic Tuesday' and the original due date.

You must include the photo prompt with your story as a reference for you readers!

Solo’s head pounded as he dared lift it from the pillow….big mistake.

“Illya?” He called, assuming his partner was in the other bed. “You awake?”

“I am now. I thought given the copious amounts of scotch you drank last night, you would sleep all day.”

“My brain hurts. Do you have any aspirin?”

“In my shaving kit.”

“Well?”

“You want me to get it for you too?”

“Tsk, the last time I opened your kit, it blew up on me.”

“You will never let me forget that will you?”

“No.”

“Happy New Year Napoleon.”

“Happy New Year Illya.”

I forgot to post that PicFic is on hiatus this month due to the Round Robin that's beginning this week.

PicFic hasn't gotten much attention as of late, speaking of which I'm very late with posting my story from last month prompt. So if you're in the mood to write and need some inspiration just go the the PicFic prompt link to the right of Section VII's page, or just look through the archive on the first Tuesday of the month to find the previously posted prompts.

In the meantime enjoy the Round Robin once it really kicks in. I believe Glennagirl's chapter posted today. The RR is based upon a piece previously posted by Jantojones.

The ABC Affair II Challenge- Day 22

Even though I've posted an end date and an extension date of July 7th for the Challenge, don't fret if you're behind in posting your stories. Just finish them and post them when you can.

Life gets in the way of art, and it's understandable that it happens to all of us! Today my apartment complex was the scene of an armed hostage incident and locked down. I was evacuated from my building along with a lot of other residents. It was a long day outside but luckily the weather wasn't too hot, and the rain held off. The police did a wonderful job, and no one was hurt.

That was a dramatic bit of life getting in the way for me writing my next chapter.

For whatever reason you're delayed, just keep on writing and post your stories when you can!

We've had a wonderful response to the challenge so far by everyone!

So WRITE ON cousins!
