My Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang was written for the 2016 MFU Scrapbook Valentine’s Challenge. The Illya/Faustina piece became the foundation of a series, sort of an extended romantic hurt/comfort story.

My daughter custom painted these Funko Pops for me as a birthday surprise. 😍 She even crafted the badges and communicator. (And she gave Illya his dark red coat, as she knows I have a weird fondness for it.)

I’ve posted another chapter of The Treasure Island Affair. I’d hug my muse if I could.

Way back when the Crossover Challenge was posted, I had the idea to use Arsene Lupin Returns, a light, fun detective film from 1938 which I enjoy. (You can watch the original trailer on YouTube here. The entire film is also out there to stream.)

In this chapter it was finally time to bring in one of the characters from the film (played by Warren William on the left), which was a great reason to rewatch it a few times.

Illya raised his brows. “The silent film star?”

“Uh-huh. He drank himself to death at this very chateau. It was five days before they found the body.” Napoleon twisted his lips. “By that time it had been, ah, partially consumed by his poodles.”

Depardieu frowned. “Let us not waste any more time.”

My Long Story idea is, alas, still only an outline. I've had Het on the brain lately (naughty Muse!) and instead churned out a 3200 word work of mild Illya/Faustina het. It is posted to the Map Room.

It’s been an eventful week. I took my oldest to college, which inspired this vignette. It fit with a prompt from May. I hope to expand it eventually.

Illya pulled the heavy box to the edge of the trunk. “Here, take this.” He looked over his shoulder and found he had been talking to empty air. “Now where did he go?”

Sasha pushed a wheeled bin toward the van. “Lee? He’s already got his nose to the grindstone.”

Illya’s gaze followed his son’s pointing finger to the women’s wing of the dormitory. An identical blond leaned against the railing of the loading dock, talking to a girl with a clipboard.
