"She did it again…" The blond shook his head, causing the silky strands to wave like wheat in the wind.

"What's that tovarisch?" Napoleon noted the hair, shook his head slightly but the Brylcreem had done its job. Again.

"You know very well how these things go.  Stories are written and without fail I am bludgeoned, shot or otherwise maimed.  I catch the brunt of the violence with these writers.  I do not understand."

More head shaking and sighs only served to exacerbate Napoleon's ire over the hair problem.  Illya's complaint seemed petty.

"At least you have good hair."

"True."

LOL. Images of the characters reading the stories written about them will never fail to be amusing. Actually, though, in this case it might not be such a fourth wall break; I remember that one show they were guest-starring in and the kids seemed to be very fannish over U.N.C.L.E. Maybe in the show canon, the people who are aware of U.N.C.L.E. are writing what would be for them "real-person fanfiction". ;)

And Napoleon's grievances with his hair, and especially Illya agreeing that he has better hair than Napoleon ... LOL.

Yeah, on Please Don't Eat The Daisies each of them made a solo appearance. Coincidentally the female lead is Pat Crowley who is the innocent in the pilot/Vulcan Affair.
