We're missing Avirra here on LJ. She's taken a bit of hiatus from MFU, as she writes for quite a few other genres as well. Right now she's in the world of Star Trek. Thanks for posting this to the Writer's Choice! Glad you're still with us as who knows what all those spammers have been up to today!

It seems to have originated at MFUWSS as its suspected the comm was hacked and the Friends List was being spammed. My journal is locked to friends only so it wasn't hit. Might be a good idea to lock your journal as well.

Spammers tried requesting membership to Section VII and Uncle du Jour but since we moderated those comms we were able to check them out ahead of time, then disapprove and band the requestors.

So if once you do that and someone can't make a comment on your journal post that means they need to be added as a friend. Sometimes it's hard to keep track as you may friend someone, and list them as a friend but they need to do the same for you. A little confusing...
