This time last year we were all prepping for the big 50th Anniversary events, including the mini-bang that was an all out, literary and artistic success.  This entry from avery11 takes us back to Illya's early life while still in the Soviet Union.  Poignant and affirming, this is an endearing episode in the life of our Russian.
