The Face in the Fog ~ chapter 4

---------------------------------------------------

Napoleon Solo was worried as he waited for his partner a block away at their appointed meeting place.  He wanted to go along, but Illya insisted he wait at the bistro.

“It is a milk run, why should both of us be out on a damp, foggy night.”

That was more than an hour ago; he should have been here.

Solo put on his trench coat, heading out into the night in search of the wayward Russian.  It was not like his friend to delay coming back unless he’d run into trouble, which was more often the case than not.

Ooh, very "film noir." I love the pics you choose to illustrate your stories. Napoleon looks so dashing in this one.

Good ending.

Oh, Illya, you should have known milk run was an invitation to misfortune.

Napoleon standing next to a lamppost perhaps, the yellow light hazy in the enveloping fog as he lights another cigarette. You have created a lot of visual imagery in this.
