Sorry, but thank you so much. I am in the process of writing the next chapter and hopefully it will be finished quickly. I didn't intent for this be a WIP, but that's the way it just seemed to flow.
Wasn't sure I'm gotten Nick and Nora right as it's been a long time since I'd seem one of the Thin Man movies...wow, a real long time. When I saw the picture of the dog, all I could think of was Asta! "D
Thank you! Validation is a good thing as I wasn't 100% sure on getting the dialogue right. I kept remembering William Powell in Mr. Roberts, and I know his dynamic was very different from the Thin Man movies.
Now I just need to work out a nice murder mystery in the vein of the Thin Man...with very UNCLE overtones. :D
Oh gee, then I better get this right! LOL! Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and for commenting. I didn't intend for this to be a WIP but it just happened, so I'm still working out the mystery. Probably won't be able add a chapter until next week.
The rest of this week is going to be hectic as my friend's son, who I teach an Irish instrument, is competing in a big championship over the weekend, so it's been constant practice and rehearsals with the fiddler I got to play with him. A rehearsal with them tomorrow, plus I have doctor's appointments, then another rehearsal on Thursday, Friday we get ready, Saturday and Sunday competitions.
If he takes a second or first place then he gets to compete in Ireland in the All Ireland Championships...but I don't think he's ready for that just yet. He's only 11.
So I think I'm going to be a bit behind in my writing. Fingers crossed the boy wins a medal this year. I think he can take a third place. This is his third year and threes the charm maybe. "D

I'm sure Napoleon will have some fun teasing Illya about the superiority of his "new partner".
