“What is that?” Napoleon asked.”That music’s not right is it?”

Kuryakin cocked an eyebrow as he turned his head to one side, carefully listening.

“They are doing something different from the sound of it. Not our usually jazzy accompaniment.”

“True, it’s but not ‘our’ theme music...it belongs to someone else,”Solo was now annoyed. He groaned, “Now I recognize it. It belongs to that bumbling idiot.”

“And which bumbling idiot is that, there are quite a few out there in the world of espionage are there not?”

“It’s that Smart guy’s.”

“Napoleon you just said he was an idiot...”

Get Smart was the creation of Mel Brooks and in direct response to MFU. It's corny, but enjoyable. I was listening to the MFU sound track/concert for the 50th Anniversary of MFU while watching the Get Smart movie on TV...and voila, the drabble appeared. lol!

It's on one of the cable stations here. There was a binge watch a few weeks ago after the MFU binge weekend.

The Get Smart movie that came out a few nears ago wasn't bad, it definitely caught the flavor of the show and Steve Carrell did Don Adams (the original Maxwell Smart) justice. That's rare in a movie remake of a TV series.

Myself, I'd have thought Napoleon, anyway, would rather enjoy Get Smart.

Oddly enough, I never watched Get Smart. We just didn't watch sitcoms in my house, dad's rule.
The idea that the characters can hear music wafting in from another series... sort of Night Gallery scenario perhaps, something for Halloween.

Get Smart was actually a spy spoof, created in direct response to MFU by Mel Brooks. It was actually pretty good, though it had some corny moments...but then again it was a spoof.

Breaking the 4th wall again. with them hearing the music as I already had them hiding from us under their desks..."D lol!
