Re: A Little Drabble Do Ya (Reposted)

For a period of time, [livejournal.com profile] anamaryarmygram and I engaged in an ongoing prompt exchange where every week we each formulated a prompt for the other to write (with about five days notice) a drabble based on. She has moved on to bigger and better things, but if anyone else would be interested in such an arrangement (or one at less frequent intervals - maybe biweekly or monthly), please let me know - I should be available at least through mid-August. I thought it was a great discipline that really stretched my creative wings.

Just to give you an idea, here are some of the prompts we exchanged:

  • Someone else winds up in Mrs. Waverly's apron.

  • Write a hurt/comfort with no dialogue or em dashes.

  • For once, Illya is reluctant to do paperwork.

  • One guy takes on the soup while the other handles the nuts.

  • Write a piece based on, sequelling, or inspired by another author's work.

  • Mr. Waverly is the only character.

  • An Admiral English (or an admiral, English) is involved.

  • Use the AO3 tag "Illya's Souffle."

  • One of the guys must make a friend or idol decision.

Glad you reposted this. Hope you can find a drabble buddy!

I like a lot of these prompts! Would you mind if I tried some of them on for size? My life is in such flux now, I don't think it would be fair of me to say I would be your partner, but if I can get it together, I would like to try, just not now.
