A fledgling ode to Mary Sue...

“I see April is preparing for her undercover assignment.”

Illya glanced at Miss Dancer, glad to know her actions were the result of a mission requirement, not a personality default.

“What sort of mission would require her to act like … that?”

The Russian pointed towards a circle of men surrounding Agent Dancer as she laughed in an unnatural key.

“Mmm… something called the Mary Sue Affair.  I think she’s going in as an imitation of herself.”

The blond glanced sideways at his partner.

“Napoleon, please explain what that means.”

“I don’t know. But, I’ll be glad when it’s over.”
