Kuryakin was often magnanimous when it came to his partner's dalliances, even when it meant Napoleon being late in rescuing the Russian. In Illya's mind the most important thing that overrode his ire was the fact that Solo showed up, as he would often say 'riding in like the cavalry.'

Mr. Waverly was known for his rapier intellect, no nonsense manner, and brusque nature. No agent wanted to be on the receiving end of his ire. Unbeknownst to most however was Number One's magnanimous streak that occasionally surfaced in matters concerning Solo and Kuryakin.
