Reader's Choice: A Light in the Window

My recommendation is A Light In the Window by (the always excellent) otherhawk.

This fic never made it to AO3, probably because otherhawk never considered it finished. I love it just as it was posted, though.

I agree with you - don't think it needs anything more. I liked the note it ended on.
