I'd like to see a poll on why so many of us like to hurt Illya in our stories. What is it about that cute little blond with the gorgeous (fill in the blank) that drives us to torture, hurt and generally give him a bad time?????

Personally, I think it stems from watching my favorite shows when I was a kid. When my particular hero got hurt, the story tended to be about him. Maybe that carried over to writing those scenes and stories.
