Melancholy Meanderings~ for A Littie Drabble Do Ya

Illya sat alone in Alexander Waverly’s office. The Old Man wasn’t there; he was off having a game of chess at his club. Napoleon was on assignment, as were April and Mark.

He realized how lonely his life was. Yet it was of his own making, keeping to himself, and erecting a barrier of aloofness.

Was it good? Was it to protect himself from the pryings of others, or to minimize feelings of loss if an acquaintance died?

His friends were few. No, better to keep it that way; less to feel sad if he were the one to die...

Sad way to look at life; poor Illya sounded depressed. Interesting drabble.
