Song Story Challenge for August, 2016: Roberta Flack



You can click on the links for "Ballad of the Sad Young Men" and "Compared to What" for the lyrics.

Posting begins Thursday, August 16th and runs through Saturday, August 18th.  The rules are simple: Write a story of minimally 500 words with no maximum length using the lyrics of one of the songs as a prompt.  The lyrics can inspire your tale, provide the setting for your tale or even be the background music of your tale.  If you are feeling truly inspired, write two tales using both prompts.  Please include the phrase "Song Story Challenge" and the month in the Subject field and use the tag "song stories."
