Round Table - What About Napoleon's Wife?

It is MFU Lore of the highest degree: Napoleon Solo had a wife before UNCLE, before Korea.  Or so it said in the synopsis written for the character who would turn into televisions biggest cassanova to date circa 1964.
Are there any references at all in the series to this history?  I don't know of them, but we do have some stories that flash back to that short-lived relationship.
And then there is Illya's wedding band, the uh-oh result of someone not reminding Mr. McCallum to remove the jewelry that would prove one of the most provocative elements in the series.
Stories?  I know of one or two that has a wife tucked away in the shadows.  One of them is by [livejournal.com profile] k1p2psso but I'm having trouble locating it.
So, anyone?
