Suits and Other Wardrobe Bits - Sunday Pictorial
The wardrobe is always interesting on MFU, sometimes for the sake of it being so droll at times. What I wouldn't give to have seen these guys in a pair of blue jeans with one of those white shirts. The closest we get are those tight beige jeans that IK sometimes wears (I assume wardrobe did that for the fans ;).
Here are a few of the scenes illustrating just how black and grey the guys were. Of course the show was in black and white, so there is the off chance that there was color in there somewhere. We know the women's wardrobe was colorful because we see some of the same dresses in later seasons. Of course these guys look good no matter what.
Feel free to add your own in the comments section.

The Gray Suit. Is it Plaid?

In Deadly Decoy we have their ongoing first season wardrobe firmly intact.

Unless they're on vacation, during which they wear polo shirts. Napoleon did get a different jacket.

What? Napoleon in a black suit? It truly is a Mad, Mad Tea Party.

Undercover Illya. For some reason I'm particularly fond of this shot. Of course, Napoleon is in a suit...
a familiar one.

I think it's interesting that they wanted to show Illya changing into his regular attire. And behind a dressing screen at that.

A little change of pace here, a light colored turtleneck that is umm... a little short. You can see skin between the shirt and trousers. Notice her hand reaching to ... maybe tug at his waistband? And Napoleon is all hung up on dressing for success.

Odd Man Out gives us once more the black and grey of it. Napoleon seems to be wondering where his Glen Plaid suit has gone. Oh wait, that's second season.

The spies do get to slip into their black trenchcoats for this episode. Matching black trenchcoats. Is that an UNCLE Special?

I think Illya needed the screen because a lady was present - or perhaps he wore his orange polka dot boxers that day and was a bit shy about revealing them...
Great theme for pix, it's one of the shows where what the guys wear is as much a part of the show as what they do.
And His'n'Hers polo necks are always going to be a hoot...
