they went to the trouble of casting an actor that has a fleeting resemblnce to Vaughn, and they're definitely spiffing him up in stylish clothes. There seems to be no attmept to tie in Armie's Kuryaking to the iconic image developed my David McCallum, at least I could get over the height issue if he sort of resembled the Illya we know and love, as Henry resembles Napoleon.

Hollywood, dropping the ball again. I recall reading on a site that Norman Felton wanted men for the parts (origial) who were not of great stature... Guess the casting directors didn't bother to do any research in that area.

I think I've already made up my mind not to see the movie when it comes out, and wait until it comes out on DVD...OR if the cousins give it a good review, then I'll consider seeing. I hate wasting my money on a bad movei as tickets here to see a film are outrageously expensive. It's cheaper to wait and buy it on DVD...and I ususally get them 'used.' lol.

So will see...

I noticed that Solo/Vaughn girls were quite happy with the movie...

Never heard of him, but thanks for the link. Yes he has the right look, and blond, he'd look even better. I once though Ryan Gosling would have worked too,.,,

Now Johnny Depp, seriously?
