Interesting but not surprising the tweets were from a younger, no doubt 'target' audience. Doubt these kids have ever seen the original show so they're taking it at face value.

I suppose for a new unfamiliar audience the movie might be well received, though I'm not quite sure how to interpret the negative comment. For us 'cousins' it remains to be seen if it will live up to our expectations, or if the studio has dropped the ball. But in the end we don't matter, its the target audience that does and if they like it, then the movie will be a money maker which in the bottom line and what it's all about for any film.

Thanks for posting this.

I agree Cavill was a good choice for the role both in his ability and his looks. Armie Hammer to me just isn't a good fit, both physically and acting-wise.

Where as they got the 'type' right with Cavill, they completely dissed the iconic look of the character created by McCallum. I'm not impressed by Hammer's acting either.

So he's going to have to do something pretty impressive to get me past the fact that he towers over Cavill...like the Jolly Green Giant.

I wonder why they've stuck with the character per se for NS but didn't do that for IK?

I'm going to wait to see this when it comes out on cable as I'm just not excited about it, and besides going to see a movie that might just disappoint me isn't worth the expensive cost to go to a movie nowdays. I suspect the movie will go to DVD rather quickly...just my instincts.
