Say UNCLE?

I can't believe this is the first I've heard that a Man From UNCLE movie had been made, let alone that it will be released in January! How did I miss this?  http://www.bleedingcool.com/2014/12/22/first-image-man-u-n-c-l-e/

Not being released in January. It's been moved back August 15th 2015. Generally movies being released in January signaled a death knell for it, so the date being changed to August means the studio has a better feeling about the movie.

Among the die hard fans, it's not looked upon as being something good. Major miscasting of Armie Hammer as Kuryakin, is much taller than Henry Cavill who plays Solo. Another miscast...Hugh Grant as Waverly? Really? It's being touted as a comedy-adventure.

I'll wait until it's on cable. Most TV to big screen remakes are rarely successful... and this one looks like it will be a disappointment as well...

Never saw either. Star Trek, with the original cast and then the first remake were all pretty good, and the Adams Family (2 movies) but nothing else I've seen was good at all. MFU...well the more I read about it, including the actors comments, tout it to be a comedy adventure. ugh.

Plus Armie Hammer as Illya, no way. Hugh Grant as Waverly...they have to be kidding. I predict it's going to be a flop with the old guard. Those new to UNCLE, not so sure. I they've seen the old show, then I doubt they'll be pleased with it either.

As for me, I'll be waiting for it to come out on cable as I don't have high hopes for it...

Happy new Year.

Actually, the film was originally scheduled for a January 2015 release, but decent buzz has moved the film to August 2015. Fingers crossed that it's a good script.

I'm looking forward to the movie and I consider myself a definite fan of the series. ;-)
