Hi, I finally finished a fic that I've been tinkering with for a while. Finally managed to execute the concept I wanted in a way that seems to work. :) Hope you like!

2015 International Conference on Computer Science and Mechanical Automation [CSMA2015] will take place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China from October 23-25, 2015. Prof. Zhihong Qian, Jilin University was invited to give a keynote speech for CSMA2015. CSMA-2015 is the annual academic conference in a series held one year in China sponsored by Science & Engineering research center, and technically sponsored some universites and supported by teachers. The conference attracts participants in a diverse range of fields, including Computer Science and Information Technology, Sensors, Instrument and Measurement, and Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering. The goal of this conference is to bring researchers, engineers, and students to the areas of Humanities and Social Science to share experiences and original research contributions on those topics. Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their contributions to CSMA-2015.

You've really dug beneath the surface here, and it does bring up the grizzle nature of that scene in the park. The Russian is at times very ruthless in his job performance. Thank you for posting here, and should Kuryakin find his man then be sure to let us know ;)

Thanks for posting this on Section VII. Having characters live and continue the drama was an excellent idea. I loved the initial scene where Illya confronts Ecks and gives his three possibilities as to how he lived. So very Kuryakin.

Thank you so much! :) I'm very happy you read and enjoyed. I'm notorious for refusing to let certain character deaths stand, if I like either the character or the actor (the actor in this case). It does make for increased drama.

I loved having Illya react to encountering Ecks. :)

I'll readily admit I had to rewatch 'The Odd Man Affair'and start this fic over before it made sense to me. I'm very glad I did. Illya's unrest over enlightening Waverly was quite interesting as was the debate between our guys about what makes a person good or evil. I wonder if a recruitment to UNCLE out of the question? Probably not.

"...I don't imagine you weren't a holy terror as a child" -what a great line that's most likely true.

Yes, reviewing the episode is a good idea. I had to review it myself before I could put the fic fully together. I'm honored you were interested enough to want to do that!

Thank you so much! I really struggled with the discussion scene in the last third of the fic, rewriting things multiple times to make it feel right for the characters.

Yeah, I would doubt that Mr. Waverly would want those two in U.N.C.L.E., unless there were extremely extenuating circumstances. My old drabble series where I first tried the idea involved Mr. Waverly getting Ecks to stalk Illya because he was trying to get Napoleon and Illya to work on the case with a wild card agent he'd recruited out of necessity. I'm still amused by that version of events and like it, but it was based around the assumption that Ecks was not high up in the organization and was mostly just for hire. When I reviewed the episode and realized he seemed to have a steadier position than that, I wasn't sure the concept would work.

It is interesting to imagine what mischief Illya may have gotten into as a child. ;)
