Hi, I finally finished a fic that I've been tinkering with for a while. Finally managed to execute the concept I wanted in a way that seems to work. :) Hope you like!

Summary: Illya discovers that being haunted by the past can be literal sometimes. Based around characters and events from The Odd Man Affair.

I'll readily admit I had to rewatch 'The Odd Man Affair'and start this fic over before it made sense to me. I'm very glad I did. Illya's unrest over enlightening Waverly was quite interesting as was the debate between our guys about what makes a person good or evil. I wonder if a recruitment to UNCLE out of the question? Probably not.

"...I don't imagine you weren't a holy terror as a child" -what a great line that's most likely true.

Yes, reviewing the episode is a good idea. I had to review it myself before I could put the fic fully together. I'm honored you were interested enough to want to do that!

Thank you so much! I really struggled with the discussion scene in the last third of the fic, rewriting things multiple times to make it feel right for the characters.

Yeah, I would doubt that Mr. Waverly would want those two in U.N.C.L.E., unless there were extremely extenuating circumstances. My old drabble series where I first tried the idea involved Mr. Waverly getting Ecks to stalk Illya because he was trying to get Napoleon and Illya to work on the case with a wild card agent he'd recruited out of necessity. I'm still amused by that version of events and like it, but it was based around the assumption that Ecks was not high up in the organization and was mostly just for hire. When I reviewed the episode and realized he seemed to have a steadier position than that, I wasn't sure the concept would work.

It is interesting to imagine what mischief Illya may have gotten into as a child. ;)
