Challenge Planning for Next Year...

Hey folks,

The HODOWE challenge events this year have been a blast. We still have a couple more to go before the year is out, but I've been thinking that next year we should "rest" the HODOWE event and bring it back in 2014.

To fill in the gap, I have a suggestion for a new challenge format next year: QuoteMe.

It's probably no secret how usually I start my own stories off with a quote of some sort. [chuckle] So I was thinking what if I gave a quote as a challenge and then folks used that as the inspiration for an MFU story? Just a little something different to keep people intrigued.

The QuoteMe challenge would follow the same basic guidelines as the HODOWE, e.g., minimum of 500 words with no set max, contain no explicit adult content, and be true to the 1960s series in tone.

I am imagining 6 QuoteMe events for all of 2013, running every other month (likely setup would be February, April, June, August, October and December).

What do you all think?

Great idea, I too use quotes to start off a lot of my stories. Definitely make for good inspiration.

Yep me too. I like the changing it up a bit aspect of it, and I think we've done HODOWE proud. Thanks to all of you who have made Section VII a viable part of this MFU community.
