Today is a bad day for me to try to think about a Christmas memory. Some sad news, and problems today. I think I'll just go back to bed and start again tomorrow. So if someone else could kick off todays Holiday memories with a comment/story/anecdote it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I was going to encourage a bit of schadenfreude for the Northern Hemisphere. Even there families can get a bit on each others' nerves. In the Antipodes add summer heat, and pretty bad it can get by the afternoon, with running around in summer games, and all that winter food, and every year there's a general feeling Christmas should be rescheduled for June.

I heard down under is getting smacked with unusually warm temperatures. Which I wouldn't mind right now as it's well below freezing with the windchill here. Tonight supposed to be in the single digits.

Outside kitty is staying in his cubby and eating a lot, though I wish I could get him to come in tonight, Will try.

Trust me the argument with Mr. Misa is very short lived. Not fully outside either, he pokes his head in the door and I can see he's thinking about it, but won't take that extra step. I finally have to close the door as all the heats is getting let out.

So the day started out not so good and went from bad to worse, I was upset enough that I not only forgot to take my meds this morning, I've barely eaten as well.

A happy memory though, has popped into my head, thinking of food. Mom had a special set of china that she'd use for holidays, burgundy & white with gold trip and scroll motif. Some how she managed to find a set of gold plated flatware to go with it. It was always such a pretty table and my mom was proud of how it would look with center piece she always made herself. Dad would sit at the head of the table and just point to what he wanted passed down, and we'd do it. He was a man of few words, especially when food was involved. He was tall and thin though. I miss my parents very much...and darn it, it was supposed to be a happy memory but here I am sniffling and tearing up. Eventually the happy thoughts will come back. Mmmm Happy Thoughts....wouldn't it be nice if I could fly off to Never Never Land and hang out with Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and the lost boys.
