A Reminder About Vive La France

Our special challenge, Vive la France, was originally in response and in solidarity with the Je Suis Charlie movement that resulted from the horrific attacks in France as part of a terroristic campaign in that country. The challenge posts from March 2-6, and can be combined with other challenges when it works, as a continuing story throughout the week or one or two stand alone entries.
When discussing it last week, in the aftermath of the announcement of svetlanacat4's  passing, mrua7 suggested that we dedicate the week to Svet. It is a small gesture, but one I hope will meet with acceptance and approval from everyone who participates, writers and readers alike.
UNCLE is nothing if not dedicated to stopping the violence we saw in France and sadly, so many other places.  Let's  put our men to work next week and let them do what they do so well.
Vive le France!

Yesterday's Round Table...

You can read the discussion, you can even join in if you have something you'd like to add.  We were focusing on Napoleon's brilliance as a strategist and intuitive qualities in the field.  The discussion is HERE

'Short Affair' PROMPTS for March 2nd

2.2

When the dictionary presented me with the first of today’s word prompts, I laughed out loud. For some reason, it brought one particular agent to mind. Of course, you may want to take it in a different direction, or use the other word instead.

Whichever way you go, you’ll find all of the prompts and rules below the cut.

Also, the posting date for this challenge falls on the first day of the Vive la France challenge week. Please feel free to tie both of these challenges together.

Have fun

Satrap and Satrapy

We all use these words, and the latter has been used in the series I believe.  Here are the definitions associated with these words.
Satrap: A provincial governor
Satrapy: A province governed by a satrap

Words are our tools and sometimes we just need to go back and take a closer look at the ones we see repeatedly.  I hope this is helpful to all of the writers, and lends a better understanding for readers and writers alike.
I'm adding this after the fact, but it was used once or twice in the series, and so it shows up in MFU fiction.  I doubt that it is used elsewhere by any of us, but the clarification between the two is hopefully a help.
Okay, English lesson for the day is now concluded.  Comments are welcome.

"Escape from the End of the World-" Part 13 the conclusion

Solo woke up to the smell of smouldering wires and a sizeable lump on his head. The cockpit was a shambles but nearly intact but when he tried to stand he let out a yelp as pain shot up his obviously broken leg.

“Illya!” He shouted.

Decoy - 'Short Affair' Challenge - Feb 23rd

2.2

Prompts – Decoy/Olive Green
Word Count (approx.) – 459

Illya had evaded capture for about two hours, which he figured would probably be enough. As much as he wished to avoid the next part of the plan, there was no avoiding it. It was time for him to be seen. Stripping off his olive green camouflage jacket, to reveal a bright white t-shirt, Illya set off walking through the jungle again. Unlike before, he made as much noise as possible, in order to attract his pursuers. He couldn’t deny Napoleon’s plan was a good one; he just wished it didn’t involve his possible death. There was every possibility that the people chasing him would shoot first and ask questions later.
