Announcing a very SPECIAL PICFIC!


PicFic Tuesday challenges run every week on Section VII, but in honor of the 50th Anniversary of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. there will be a Special  Edition Anniversary Picfic. This is going to be a two-part challenge. (similar to the Christmas PicFic I ran 2 years ago).


So here’s how it works:


Prompt # 1 wlll post on Monday September 1st

Prompt # 2 will post on Monday September 8th


Your story is due to be posted Tuesday September 16th on Section VII.


So that means you have 2 weeks to write your PicFic. It can be a single story based on the two prompts or broken into two chapters based on the prompts, which ever you prefer.


Now here’s the catch: Your story must have something to do with “50”.  It can be whatever you like as long as the number is used somewhere in there.


Statistical: Minimum 1000 words

Genre: Gen or Gen-Mature


Please format this way:


STORY NAME:  PicFic MFU:50~ Title of the story

GENRE: Gen or Gen-Mature

WORD COUNT: approximate

RATING:  i.e. Everyone, Teen, or Adult

WARNINGS: Please make note of Strong Language, mild het, Graphic Violence, etc. or if the story is AU (alternate universe)

TAGS: Gen, or Gen-Mature, MFU:50

No PicFic due for that date. It will be another open posting for people to post past PicFcs with which they want to catch up.

For the 50th anniversary, there's going to be 2 prompts posted on Monday Sept 1 and Monday Sept 8th. The story for these 2 prompts is due Sept. 16th.

You're welcome. You realize the prompt posted yesterday was for another anniversary...the 2 year anniv. of the PicFic Challenge. New stories wanted for next Tuesday, but the original stories...the very first PicFics from 2 years ago will also be posted on 8/26 as well.

So for your calendar, there'll be a prompt posted August 25 and due Sept. 2nd. That'll be the last one before the 50th Anniversary PicFic.

Prompts post on Sept 1st and 8th with the stories due on 9/16.
