Already thinking about next year...

Okay, we are about 2/3rds of the way through 2013 and 2/3rds of the way through the QuoteME challenges as well. Just 2 more of those challenges for this year, and I do have some nice quotes ready for those: one giving folks a chance to go Halloweenish -- or not -- depending how the quote is interpreted, for the October challenge, and a nice one which can resonate with a holiday vibe for the December challenge.

But I was thinking of possible challenges for next year and came up with an idea I call the Mood-Y challenges, where I will provide a one-word or multiple-word "mood" and folks would then write an MFU story to suit that mood. Again talking about 6 challenges for the year (2014) on this.

Just wanted to get some feedback to see if folks like the idea or not.

I like it. If you'd like, we could put it out as a poll and see what comes out in first place. If you have a couple of other options, that is. It lets readers as well as writers chime in on what would ...ahemmm... ring their bells.

The options would be:

1) Mood-Y new challenge as described above
2) QuoteME for a second consecutive year
3) HODOWE brought back from 2012

Any of the options would be 6 challenges, So HODOWE would be greatly reduced and I would likely choose "little-known" holidays not used before.

I will admit to being partial to Mood-Y for next year [chuckle], but I can put out a poll with those options if you think it a good way to decide.

I'll leave it to you. I'd personally go for the new one, so perhaps forging onward rather than retracing our past is the way to go.
