Due to a lukewarm response, I'm ending the Countdown today. I won't be putting up anymore Christmas related posts other than my next PicFic story, which is mildly holiday related.

However, please continue to post your Christmas stories if you want. Just because I'm done with it doesn't mean Section VII is of the same mind.

It's a lot of work scheduling the calendar, coming up with creative manips, trying to put up stories and keeping things going, but there doesn't seem to be enough interest and participation to continue.

I tried keeping JantoJones thought of "Christmas is what you make it" in mind, but it's just not working after all.

A big thank you to those who did participate up to this point as well as those who took the time to comment.

The regular weekly PicFic that I host will continue as usual.

I'm one of the ones who hasn't been very responsive lately, but that is strictly because of some personal issues and not because I don't enjoy your postings. I think we all appreciate the hard work you do to keep Section VII going.

Like Threecee, I too have been enjoying but not commenting and not checking in a whole lot these past few weeks. You did a great job and I hate to see that end, but you have to do what you have to do. ;D

Lot's of baking to do from now until the big day. RL gets in the way sometimes. Can't help it.

You do a lot of work here and it's OK to let this go. I have been very busy with work and life and have not been reading as of late---not even my books which are piling up! Thanks for all you do. I have a mixed bag of feelings about Christmas in general. I am grateful the grandchildren are around to keep me smiling.

I have been so irregular in my visits to LJ lately that I just discover your endeavor today. I was intending to catch up with all the missed posts. Really sorry you were disappointed. I think most people are very busy with all the Xmas family stuff and all that (not an excuse for me though; I am just a scattered brain, trying everything and finishing nothing).

I hope you are on the point to find the right home for you and your pets at last, and also that your niece and her family are in good way now.

The holiday season is a tough time for people to post as lots of personal stuff going on at that time of year.

It's the main reason why I decided a couple of years ago to always have the last seasonal challenge (whatever it is that particular year) end here on LJ during the month of October. I decided crossing into the holiday season is just too stressful all around.

Sorry you were disappointed in the response.
