This is a delightful, enigmatic first meeting story. The typeface was a little hard to read, but your story was worth the effort. I love the detail you used to give us a sense of life in London in that era, from the traffic, to the one-ring stove, to the electric fireplace, and I'm gratified that you used the bookstore, although, true to your word, it has apparently moved from Portabello Road to Charing Cross. Perhaps the rent was cheaper.:) Wonderful. Hoping there will be more.
