Watched MFU at age 11 and fell in love with it. When I bought my first VHS recorder, I copied as many shows that aired but there were parts cut from the original.
When I first went online, I searched for MFU info, pics, whatever I could find but there wasn't much.
I found fanfiction by accident in 2014. The first story I read was slash and I had never heard of slash and was so disappointed. It's not that there is anything wrong with it, it's just not my cup of tea for the most part.
I keep looking and ran across MLaw's stories on FanFiction. It was like finding gold. Other writers I was impressed with were Girl in the Glen, Linda Cornett and Uncle Charlie and many more.
Can't pick a single story, I love them all. New ones are being written all the time. I've even started to write a few, something I never thought would happen. When I was in Jr. High, I wrote an MFU novel. More about this will come to light soon. My college English professor told me I'd never be a writer and I should stick to nursing which was my major. Creep!
