I love the whole Angelique/Napoleon/Illya dynamic. If you watch the episodes she appears in, Illya is simply watching out for his partner because he thinks Napoleon is taking unnecessary risks with their lives; something he sees no point in. Romance is something Napoleon can find anywhere, and though Illya gets his own kind of thrills playing dice with death when he disarms explosives or sets up a bomb, Angelique is one type of explosive he sees no benefit in setting off.
