"Hot town summer in the city" ~ redux for A Little Drabble Do Ya!

A hot sultry night found a cat prowling the streets, dressed in jeans... a black  tee-shirt. It kept him inconspicuous amongst the comings and goings of Brooklyn.

The scents of food, beer and hot asphalt assaulted him, yet an enchanting odor caught his attention...perfume.

Familiar.

Posters covered partitions surrounding a construction site. There... an ad for a fragrance. Giselle, a model with whom he had a brief encounter.

Shalimar.

Closing his blue eyes, the cat remembered, but was distracted by a bum relieving himself nearby.

A bar perhaps, find himself a willing kitty, or go languish alone on his fire escape.

Thank you! Am taking a little break to to the stress of packing to eventually move, so am posting some of my older drabbles...though with this one I made some changes, and for the better I think.

I can just see him slinking through the streets. That is one cat on the prowl I'd certainly like to encounter :-)

I've been a bit busy with 'stuff' and my country melting down, but I wanted to say 'Good Luck' with all your moving business.

I have a little bit of Shalimar left in the bottom of a bottle (exactly as in the poster), I shall wear it and think of that song (which I've always loved), of that 'cat prowling the streets, dressed in jeans...a black tee-shirt' and hold a good thought for you :0)
