Short Affair PROMPT - Birthday Special
Sep. 12th, 2016 08:30 am
As you are all no doubt aware, Monday 19th September will be the 83rd birthday of Mr David McCallum. To celebrate this wonderful occasion Section VII is holding a birthday Party for his alter-ego, Illya Kuryakin. Hopefully you will have seen the invitation which was posted last week. If not, you can see it here.
As part of the celebrations, we are having a one off Special Short Affair. Instead of the usual word/colour prompt combination there will be a single sentence instead. The word count is still between 300 and 1000, and all the other rules still apply. You can find those beneath the cut.
The prompt is:
Happy Birthday, Illya Kuryakin.
You’ve got a week to come up with something. You can do anything you want with the prompt, such as angst, fluff, drama, silly, etc., just so long as the central theme is Illya’s birthday.
Don’t forget the posting for today, which is a normal Short Affair post. You can find those prompts right here.
Have fun.
Challenge Rules
-Word Count – must be between 300 and 1000.
-All stories should be headed with ‘Short Affair’ Challenge, the due date and your title.
-Please state at the top of your post which prompt combination you are using.
-Tags - please use short_affair, gen or gen-mature.
-Section VII is a Gen community, so stories should be appropriate, i.e. nothing explicit or overly-graphic. However, there is the Gen-Mature tag for anything containing violence, torture or mild Het. The Map Room should be used for Het stories, but again, nothing overly graphic.
-Also, as a courtesy to others, please use the LJ Cut, so as not to take up all the room on someone’s feed.
