In my Third Level Universe, Illya is trying to control his drinking and Napoleon is trying to help him. As agents, they want to keep his problem a secret, although I suspect WAverly knows but doesn't really care as long as the job gets done. Russians are famous for their capacity, but Illya has another Russian friend in my universe and has seen what alcohol is doing to him.
