Okay, it's a week later and no one had a story for the What If Challenge.  Just tell me now if it isn't going to fly, because I don't want to waste time on something that's doomed to fail.  I'm serious, feedback please.
I realize this is a time for a lot of re-focusing on things as the new year begins.  LJ has been slower than molasses as far as I can tell, so maybe we just give this original prompt another week.

The posting dates were listed as the 12th-19th. So that could be why no stories are up yet. You have to give a new challenge time to sink in. People have to get used to it before it gains some momentum.

PicFic hasn't had a lot of takers lately, but like everything, there's going to be ups and downs.

I'm having a lot a trouble writing at the moment because I can't seem to get my thoughts to stay still long enough for me to pin them down. I fully intended to join in with challenge but I couldn't come up eith anything.

I love the idea of the What If? challenge. My imagination is a little choppy at the moment, kind of like a desert with the occasional oasis, plus the fact that I have had very little time for writing this past month or so; but I too fully intend to join in this challenge just as soon as my next oasis appears at the same time as a gap in my busy schedule. Please don't give up on it just yet. I think it is a brilliant idea! Once we all get our minds going, we'll come up with some cracking stories.

The end date was originally today. When I posted it last week it was to run 8 days, but I'm fine with letting it run another week. I think we all have calendar issues periodically ;)

I totally understand, my schedule has been out of whack for a while. Take your time, we're never in a rush around here.
