I, like many of you, enjoy finding a moment within an episode, and embellishing it with what might have been going on between the lines of dialogue.  Adding pictures to that makes it even more convincing.  Thanks to Lisa's once again for the screencaps.
The story has been around once before, but I thought it was appropriate to the comm, and even better now with the slideshow.
How about some more entries on this theme of building on a moment.  The slideshow was done at Photobucket.
The inspiration for this little vignette was the incredibly bad run of luck the Russian endured in Season 4.  He was kidnapped and drugged in The Master's Touch, kidnapped and almost executed in The Deadly Quest, captured and drugged and brainwashed in the Thrush Roulette... all in all, Mr. Kuryakin had rather a bad run of luck in that last season.

Now read about it... )

Today is the last official story posting date for the HODOWE: Groundhog Day Challenge. So, to paraphrase an old saying: "Post 'em, if you got 'em." [grin]

Now on to the next challenge here on Section VII: Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras/Carnivale! Posting for that opens on February 19th and closes on February 25th.

Here, finally, is the conclusion of “The Ten Plagues Affair.” Many thanks for your patience. Thanks also to Glenna and Spikesgirl, who helped me to solve a few daunting technical issues with LJ.

In order to understand what's going on, you really need to start at the beginning:

“The Trouble With Amphibians” http://network-command.livejournal.com/.html

Dies Irae

Part 3 of THE TEN PLAGUES AFFAIR

(Acts I and II)

Act I:  A Cold Day In Hell

Napoleon stared at the depressing pile of paperwork covering his desk, wondering, not for the first time, whether file folders procreated at night when the lights were out. The necessity of reading each and every report that crossed his desk was one of his least favorite duties as CEA. At least it's Friday, he thought, rubbing his weary eyes. Not that that provided any sort of absolution where UNCLE was concerned.

     The door slid open.

“Ah, there you are,” Illya declared grumpily. “I was about to send Mr. Waverly's Saint Bernard out to look for you.”

“Illya!” Napoleon's face lit with pleasure. “When did you get back from Athens? The mission was a success, I trust?”

“Never mind that, Napoleon. Have you looked outside your door recently?”

A response to Girl in the Glenn's call to post an entry on the theme of building upon a moment. She tagged me, so now I'm it.

This story focuses on Illya's thoughts while caught in a near deadly moment during...

                                         "The Tigers are Coming Affair."

.
Illya Kuryakin was not feeling happy, here he was relegated to playing the part of the photographer again, while Napoleon dallied with a beautiful blonde.
