Anybody find the fountain

Do you think Thrush has lost their mind on this one? Napoleon asked.

If you call traipsing through St. Augustine, looking for the fountain of youth...then yes. It is mere myth, urban legend.” Illya said with disdain.

“Believable enough for the Old Man to sent us after them, tovarisch.

Have a system of aesthetics—

Napoleon walked into his partners spartan apartment. In all these years
Illya had yet to put up curtains, simply using the yellowing shades to keep his   privacy intact.

“How can you live like this?”

“I do not need much,”” He answered, misting the pale orchid on his kitchen  window sill.

Every once in a while a term floats to the surface that leaves me scratching my head with curiosity and obvious ignorance.  This link takes you to some terms about fanfiction that may be helpful.  I had never heard of the term 'shippers' before, so perhaps you'll find something new in here as well.

"Napoleon, how many people have you invited for Thanksgiving dinner?”

“Just you.”

“What is all this?”

“Well, Dinner’s at four, but we need appetizers to watch ‘March of the Wooden Soldiers’ and then football, so there are deviled eggs, celery, olives, nuts and beer, of course.  Dinner will be turkey with stuffing, lasagna, turnips, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, salad, cranberry sauce, apple cider, broccoli rabe, apple pie for dessert and wine.”

“Obviously, I am spending the night here because I will be incapable of movement.”

“Then my mission will be accomplished.  Have an egg.”

Spacibo, my friend.”

“Happy Thanksgiving!”

“Well are you ready for tomorrow, tovarisch.” Napoleon asked excitedly.

“Tomorrow? I have no plans.  What are you talking about?”

“Thanksgiving, my Russian Friend.  You’re coming with me to Aunt Amy’s house remember. She invited you.”

“I did not say I accepted.  Really, this is a day for families in your country, not partners”.both 2

“Besides my aunt, you’re my family,” Napoleon said slightly hurt. “It wouldn’t be the same without you.”

Illya hadn’t been part of a family in years, and Napoleon insisted he was part of his.

“Thank you, I would be honored to accept,” deeply touched by the sentiment.

Illya looked on hungrily at the preparations for a Thanksgiving meal.  Never before had he seen something this luscious, this enticing.

Layer upon layer of the orange colored potato were swathed in butter and brown sugar, pineapple and thin slices of orange.  Finally, triumphantly, a topping of small marshmallows finished the grand assembly before being set into the oven to brown to perfection.

“And this is dessert?”

Her reply was as triumphant as the gooey crown.  Landing the Russian for Thanksgiving was something for which this southern belle hoped they would both be truly thankful.

“No darlin’.  Dessert comes later.”

I’ll be posting three photo prompts for each of the three weeks before Christmas, but the challenge is to link each of your Picfics so they, in essence ,create a three chapter story, sort of making it a WIP.  The link that ties each chapter together can be a simple sentence, or reference or you can make it complicated, it’s your choice, depending upon where your elfin-muse takes you.

This time there will be themes for each prompt....Christmas past, present and future.

We figured we’d finish off the 2012 Picfc Challenge with something a little different as there will be no Picfic posted on Christmas Eve. That's the time we should be spending with friends and family and not in front of a computer....

note: thanks to Glennagirl for the photo manip.

~~~~~:
Lucas Weir was accustomed to victories, both small and large.  To have gained Napoleon Solo in his grasp was rather a large victory to Weir’s way of thinking, and certainly to THRUSH.  He was mildly disappointed that Illya Kuryakin had not accompanied his partner here, something that he would need to rectify.  Then again, it was entirely probably that the so-called ‘friend’ of whom Solo spoke was indeed the elusive Russian agent.
Within a few minutes answers arrived when the doorbell to Weir’s apartment rang out and in walked a lovely auburn haired woman who was accompanied by a stylish looking blond man.  This then, thought Lucas, was Kuryakin.  His satisfaction at that was slightly impeded by the woman, however.  She seemed familiar and memory was not engaging for the THRUSH operative.
Weir was immediately in their midst as the four UNCLE agents congregated much as friends would in a new environment.  Napoleon feigned delight at the appearance of the couple as he introduced Illya and April to Lucas Weir.
