The polls are now closed...

The poll has closed, and the resounding results are.... mixed.  While a majority of people do like their MFU to have some canon as a part of the story, a surprisingly large number of people don't think it necessary for a good MFU tale.  That seems a tad contradictory to me, but who's counting. Overall, writers like canon but don't think they must include it while readers also like canon but enjoy a good story regardless.
Perhaps what we come away with is that, as long as we have Illya and Napoleon being their real selves, a story can be anything the imagination can conjure up on the page.
