I'm following a bit of a rabbit trail this morning as I get around to posting this.  It started with searching through story titles to find something to post.  I decided on The Raga Affair, but was unsure whether or not I had previously posted it here.  I put in the title as a search and came up with an interview on [livejournal.com profile] mfu_delflorias where I mentioned it, rather tentatively actually.  In continuing to read the interview and comments I came across something that I had completely forgotten but is, if I do say so myself, rather a clever take on gen and tonic... something I'd like to explore, and that [livejournal.com profile] carabele also liked.
So, three things here for your amusement and consideration. The interview, a way to utilize the phrase gen and tonic, and ... ta daa...

Hey it's Saturday and the sun is finally shining, and low humidity! (been raining all week long) So it's perfect timing for the Writer's Choice!
It's time to toot your horn and post a link to a story favorite that's been penned by you, (or readers, by your favorite author) Give is a little synopsis of the story, and what you like about it! And please only links appropriate to Section VII as we are a Gen site. Thanks!

Writers love to write but just like a musician on a stage, they need a little feedback to let them know you're enjoying their stories. So if you can, comment on a featured writer's story or try to leave a 'Kudos' to let them know you stopped by? You don't have to but it would be nice.

Even a writer needs an little encouragement now and then.

This story was inspired by my first cat who lived to the ripe old age of 23 and though he's been gone nearly 13 years now, I still miss him. He and my Bowie (who I lost in January) were my big affectionate boys and very much alike.

Anyway we all tend to portray Illya as a cat person and in this little story Illya has some important work to do at home but his cat has other ideas.  This is part of my AU series on FF.net called the 'Saga Series' in which Illya eventually gets married and has a family while still serving the Command. ( though there's no reference to that in this story)

Hope you enjoy this little story and its play on words. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
